A Platform Built by Mushers, for Mushers

We are thrilled to announce the launch of MushingPlan — a purpose-built platform designed to help dog mushers plan training sessions, track performance, and manage every aspect of their kennel operations. Whether you run a competitive sprint team, guide expedition tours, or enjoy weekend canicross outings, MushingPlan was created with your needs in mind.

Dog mushing is one of the most demanding outdoor sports in the world. It requires meticulous planning, deep knowledge of your dogs, and the ability to adapt to unpredictable conditions. Yet until now, most mushers have relied on scattered spreadsheets, paper logs, and a patchwork of generic fitness apps that never quite fit the sport. We set out to change that.

What MushingPlan Offers

Training Management — Plan individual workouts and full season training programs. Set distance, pace, and elevation targets. Assign dogs to team positions and rotate them across sessions to balance workload and develop versatile athletes.

GPS Tracking & Offline Maps — Record every run with detailed GPS data, even deep in the backcountry where cell signal is nonexistent. MushingPlan is built offline-first, so your data is captured reliably and syncs automatically when you return to connectivity.

Kennel & Dog Profiles — Maintain comprehensive health, breeding, and performance records for every dog in your kennel. Track vaccination schedules, weight trends, dietary notes, and individual training history all in one place.

Performance Analytics — Visualize your team’s progress over time. Compare split times, monitor recovery patterns, and identify which dog combinations produce the strongest results. Data-driven decisions lead to faster, healthier teams.

Smartwatch Integration — Start and monitor training sessions directly from your wrist. Heart rate, pace, and elapsed distance are available at a glance without pulling out your phone in freezing conditions.

Why We Built MushingPlan

Our founding team includes competitive mushers who spent years frustrated by the lack of dedicated tools for the sport. Generic running apps ignore team dynamics. Spreadsheets lack GPS integration. Nothing on the market understood that a musher might need to swap a wheel dog mid-run, note trail conditions at mile twelve, or review a season’s worth of data while planning the next one.

MushingPlan was designed from the ground up to solve these real problems. Every feature has been shaped by feedback from sprint racers, mid-distance competitors, long-distance expeditioners, skijorers, and canicross enthusiasts across multiple countries.

What Comes Next

This launch is just the beginning. Our roadmap includes race-day logistics tools, a community marketplace for equipment, veterinary integration for health records, and expanded support for disciplines like bikejoring and scootering. We will be sharing detailed updates on this blog as new features roll out.

We invite you to create an account, explore the platform, and tell us what you think. MushingPlan grows stronger with every musher who joins the community. Your feedback directly shapes what we build next.

Welcome aboard — let’s hit the trail together.
